Accessibility
What we build to
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA - the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C. That is the standard the European accessibility rules point at through EN 301 549, and the one used as the measure for web accessibility in the United States. Building to 2.2 covers 2.1, which is the version most of those rules name.
In plain terms, that means the site should work if you cannot use a mouse, if you use a screen reader, if you need to enlarge the text, if you cannot distinguish certain colours, or if movement on a screen makes you unwell.
What is in place
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the element you are on always shows a visible focus ring. A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
- Text colour is checked against every background it can appear on, and the check runs automatically with the tests. A colour that fails stops the build rather than reaching you.
- Nothing moves, animates or scrolls on its own if your system is set to reduce motion. There is no audio or video that starts by itself.
- The page can be enlarged, and the layout reflows rather than forcing you to scroll sideways. Text is set in relative units so your own browser size is respected.
- Every form field has a label, and errors are described in words rather than only by colour.
- Images that carry meaning have a text alternative. Images that are decoration are marked so a screen reader passes over them instead of reading them out.
How this was assessed
This is a self-assessment carried out on 2026-08-28, not an external audit or a certification. Every public page was checked with an automated accessibility engine at both desktop and phone widths, and the failures it found were fixed rather than recorded. Keyboard navigation and focus order were checked by hand.
What has not been checked yet
An automated check finds perhaps a third of what is wrong on a page. These are the honest gaps:
- No one has yet tested this site with a screen reader in earnest, and no disabled person has been paid to review it. That is the largest gap on this page.
- The album is written but its recordings are not published. When audio is added it will need transcripts, and it will not be switched on without them.
- This statement covers the public site. The staff areas behind sign-in are not open to the public and are not assessed here.

Please tell us - it is the fastest way this gets fixed, and you do not need to explain or justify why you need it. Email info@adhdpathways.net. It helps if you can say which page you were on and what happened, but tell us in whatever way is easiest for you.
We aim to reply within five working days. If something is stopping you using the site, say so and we will look at it first.
If we do not put it right, you can raise it with the authority responsible for accessibility rules in your country.
